TECHNOLOGICAL MODERNITY THROUGH THE LENS OF ANTEISM: ON THE PROBLEM OF METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS
The article is devoted to anteism as a complex phenomenon that should be considered in the anthropological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions. The application of the concept of the "principle of anteism" enabled the author to define it as a factor influencing all aspects of human activity throughout its history. The aim of the article is to explore anteism as a methodological foundation for overcoming the ecological risks of technological modernity. To achieve this goal, the following research objectives were formulated. First, to examine the principle of anteism as a worldview model that overcomes the anthropocentric approach; second, to investigate the impact of technological development on the relationship between humans and nature; third, to determine the role of the principle of anteism in shaping ecological consciousness; fourth, to highlight the significance of the principle of anteism for preserving the spiritual potential of humanity; and fifth, to reveal the prospects for applying the principle of anteism in overcoming ecological risks and achieving sustainable societal development. It is noted that the principle of anteism should not be considered exclusively as a mythological worldview model. The significance of the principle of anteism is emphasized for understanding the devastating consequences of humanity's utilitarian activities, which previously elicited admiration in consumer and industrial societies. It is proven that the principle of anteism creates new conditions for establishing a dialogue between humans and nature in the context of contemporary challenges. The author substantiates the necessity of incorporating the principle of anteism into the ethical principles of modern technological society. The principle of anteism is viewed as a key element in establishing a harmonious interaction within the "human – nature – technology" system. It is noted that anteism holds significant potential for shaping a new value system based on recognizing the Earth as a subject rather than an object of transformation. This connection will allow humanity to preserve its spiritual foundations amid global changes. Exploring the principle of anteism through the lens of anthropological, sociocultural, and axiological approaches reveals new opportunities for understanding the specifics of human existence in technological reality and necessitates further research. The study's findings emphasize the importance of integrating the principle of anteism into contemporary ecological policies and educational practices.
