Identification of intracellular motion type and its parameter from dynamic optical coherence tomography signals (Conference Presentation)

We proposed an estimation method for the motion type and its parameters from DOCTs. We used two DOCT algorithms with two resolutions for the estimation. The OCT image with low resolution were numerically generated from the high-resolution OCT image. Our method identified the motion type as random ballistic or mono-directional flow based on the resolution dependency of DOCT. Speed and motion direction were also estimated using simulated DOCT curves against speed and angle, respectively. This method revealed that the motion in a tumor spheroid was random ballistic with a motion speed of 0.19-0.36 μm/s.
