THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF LANDRACE PIGS AND ASSOCIATIONS OF SOME HEAVY METALS WITH CARCASS WEIGHT
The article presents the results of an evaluation of some fattening and meat qualities of Landrace pigs bred in Western Siberia. The correlation analysis of individual parameters with the levels of iron, zinc, copper, manganese, stable strontium, cadmium, and lead in the internal organs, skeletal muscles, and bristles of pigs was conducted. Significant associations were established solely with carcass weight and cadmium concentration in the skeletal muscles of pigs.
