A 3D printed microfluidic worm sorting device
A 3D printed microfluidic device for microscopic worm (C. Elegans) sorting was demonstrated using actuated syringebased fluid flow up to 11.7 μL/min with 83% sorting purity. Particles (10 μm polystyrene microspheres) were also sorted with sorting purity of 62% with 78 particles total or 2.9 beads/min. This demonstrated an inexpensive, quick and facile fabrication approach to microfluidic worm sorting.
