Innovación y mejora en educación física: impacto de la evaluación formativa en el rendimiento docente en cusco

Teacher performance in Physical Education is essential for students’ holistic development. However, in Cusco, this area is often undervalued, affecting teacher motivation and teaching quality. Formative assessment enables learning monitoring and enhances pedagogical practice. This study analyzed the influence of a formative assessment workshop on primary-level Physical Education teachers in Cusco (2023). Using a quantitative approach and an experimental pretest-posttest design, 22 teachers were selected through non-probabilistic sampling. Validated instruments and the paired t-test were applied. The results showed significant improvements in dimensions such as student engagement, educational efficiency, and assessment for feedback. It is concluded that these workshops optimize teaching, and their implementation in other educational contexts is recommended to strengthen teaching quality.
