A strategy for acquiring professionally relevant communicative competence in foreign students of ecology in preparation for their initial professional and intercultural environment

This study aims to develop and justify an effective teaching strategy for foreign ecology students to acquire professionally relevant communicative competence as they prepare to enter their initial professional and intercultural environment. The article examines key components of a professional-communicative teaching strategy for foreign ecology students, focusing on their use of specialized ecological terminology, scientific syntactic constructions, and the appropriate selection of a functional-semantic style of speech. Emphasis is also placed on several modern teaching methods that enhance the effectiveness and success of acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the integration of the case method, project-based learning, and role-playing into a unified professional-communicative strategy for teaching Russian to ecology students. The study presents a diagram illustrating the tiered introduction of these methods into the Russian language learning process for foreign ecology students in the context of preparing them for practical training.
