En cabras en anestro estacional una dosis de 100 UI hCG es suficiente para incrementar la tasa de implantación embrionaria con efecto macho.

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of a dose of 100 IU of hCG on the embryo implantation rate in anovulatory goats under extensive conditions, in the Comarca Lgunera. The administration of hCG directly stimulates ovarian follicles in advanced stages of development, triggering ovulation and the formation of the corpus luteum, which is a fundamental ovarian structure for maintaining pregnancy due to the secreted progesterone. From a goat herd of multiracial goats (n = 155), 60 multiparous anovulatory goats were selected and distributed into three treatments (1). G100-7 (n =18) 100 IU, hCG 7 days after mating, (2). G100-14 (n = 18) 100 IU of hCG, 14 days after mating, (3). GCON (n = 18) 0.5 ml of saline 7 and 14 days after mating. Based on the results obtained in this study, we conclude that the effect of hCG was directly reflected in the response variables: luteal area, double ovulations, embryo implantation rate, conception rate and fertility rate at 14 days after mating. In this sense, the direct mating of male goats as a traditional mating method in the Lagunera region and the dose of hCG (100 IU) improved luteal and embryonic efficiency.
