Application of Genomics Technology in Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a complicated neurodegenerative disorder. As the symptoms worsen, patients will experience language disorders, memory loss, and other symptoms. Its pathogenesis has not yet been fully elucidated. however, the development of genomics technology has offered novel perspectives and tools for the study of AD. This paper summarizes the application of genomics technology in AD, including the identification of genetic risk genes, the elucidation of disease mechanisms, the recognition of disease subtypes, and research progress in precision medicine and drug development. The research results show that through Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS), single-cell sequencing, and epigenetics, researchers can offer deeper insights into the genetic basis and molecular mechanisms of AD, providing new possibilities for the early diagnosis and personalized treatment of the disease. Although these technologies have helped people gain a deeper understanding of AD, there remain more complex mechanisms that need to be explored and solved in the future.
