Study on global longitudinal strain in optical coherence tomography angiography with few-shot learning (Conference Presentation)
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a technique for imaging microvasculature, offering a rapid and non-invasive method to assess microcirculation primarily in ophthalmology. While mature applications exist in ophthalmology, OCTA shows potential for evaluating the health of microcirculatory systems in other regions of the human body. This study aims to classify microvascular images obtained from OCTA scans of the nail fold about the degree of global longitudinal strain (GLS), a marker of cardiac contractile function. By leveraging prototypical networks within a few-shot learning framework, this research provides preliminary cardiovascular insights for elderly populations based on the assessment of GLS levels.
