Analyzing drug delivery and efficacy in a murine model of traumatic brain injury imaged with 3D open-top light-sheet microscopy (Conference Presentation)
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) often results in disruption of the coagulation system, leading to impaired clot formation, exacerbated bleeding, and further post-injury cell damage and lesion expansion. While past research has primarily focused on preventing neuronal death, less attention has been given to addressing vascular dysfunction. By developing an open-top light-sheet (OTLS) microscopy-enabled 3D imaging and image-processing workflow for comprehensive injury analysis, we can evaluate the efficacy of a synthetic fibrin-crosslinking polymer, polySTAT, in mitigating vascular dysfunction in TBI.
