Induction Chemotherapy Followed by Standard Chemoradiotherapy Versus Standard Chemoradiotherapy Alone in Patients With Locally Advanced Cervical Cancer (GCIG INTERLACE): An International, Multicentre, Randomised Phase 3 Trial

(Abstracted from Lancet 2024;404:1525–1535) Cervical cancer is the cause of 350,000 global deaths annually as of 2022, and prevalence remains around 660,000 new cases a year. High-income countries have decreased incidence due to the implementation of screening and vaccinations, but cervical cancer remains the most common cancer in 23 countries and the leading cancer to cause death in 36 countries.
