Ex Vivo Imaging Reveals the Spatiotemporal Control of Ovulation

(Abstracted from Nat Cell Biol 2024;26:1997–2008) Ovarian follicles store immature eggs, called oocytes, of which one matures through meiosis during every ovarian cycle into an egg that can be fertilized. The release of this mature egg is called ovulation and occurs in response to hormone signaling.
