TO CHECK EFFICACY OF GUAVA JUICE IN THROMBOCYTOPENIA PATIENTS INDUCED BY DENGUE FEVER OR ANY OTHER VIRAL FEVER
Background: Low platelet count that is thrombocytopenia is the major sign of any type of viral fever; patients who have very low platelet count need ICU admission considering bleeding tendency. To check the efficiency of guava juice in low plate Objective: let count patients induced by any type of viral fever. A randomized, parallel clinical trial with CTR registration no- CTRI/2024/09/0 Methods And Materials: 73657 performed at Vishwaraj hospital in Pune, Maharashtra, India from July 2024 to December 2024 and ethical approval taken from MAEER'S Institutional Ethics Committee. 200 low platelet count patients which is induced by any type of viral fever selected by randomization method, in which 100 patients in study group who received guava juice and 100 patients in control group who did not received guava juice. This guava juice also contains 15% Amla into it. There are 5 comparisons of interest. Statistical analysis done by the Paired t Test for tw Results And Discussions: o independent samples which compares the means of two measurements of platelet count level taken before intervention and after intervention i.e. paired observations. The test used was 't' test for two independent samples. Level of significance is less than 0.05(p<0.05). Analysis suggested that there was increasing trend in study group (guava juice group) while in control group either No Significant change in platelet count or first decreasing trend and then increasing trend of platelet count. Also the early recovery is significant in study group compared to control group at significance level 0.05 (p<0.05). This study concluded that Guava juice with 15% Amla (Indian Gooseberry) into it, helps to Conclusion: increase platelet count in low platelet count which is induced by any type of viral fever and early recovery from symptoms.
