The importance of valorizing the archaeological heritage from the iron age in Orhei district

The archaeological heritage of the Iron Age researched and discovered in the Orhei district is of major interest not only at the local level, but also at the national level. Information about the archaeological populations and cultures identified in the region, by some of the most prominent archaeologists such as: G. Smirnov, A. Meliukova, T. Passek, I. Hîncu, I. Niculita, G. Postică, O. Munteanu, P Bîrnea, A. Zanoci, revealed the presence of several cultural groups from the first and second Iron Age. The information presented by them in excavation reports, articles and studies became a solid basis for future ways of research and exploitation.
