INDUSTRY 4.0: BALANCING INNOVATION AND CYBERSECURITY RISKS FOR MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES
Digitalization of the industrial sector within the framework of Industry 4.0 requires special attention to cybersecurity issues, as the growing dependence on digital technologies and automated systems creates new risks for enterprises. Ensuring data protection, uninterrupted production processes and the safety of confidential information is becoming a critical task for ensuring the stability and competitiveness of the manufacturing sector. The aim of the study is to study the impact of digital technologies implemented within the framework of Industry 4.0 on the cybersecurity of manufacturing enterprises. The results of the study are an assessment of the impact of Industry 4.0 on the manufacturing sector, an analysis of cybersecurity threats in the context of digital transformation, an analysis of the growth of cyberattacks on manufacturing enterprises, an assessment of the importance of industrial automation and control systems for ensuring security, and the identification of factors affecting the cyber resilience of enterprises. The study revealed that the introduction of innovative digital technologies, such as automation, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and cloud solutions, significantly increases the efficiency of production processes. However, along with this, the vulnerability of enterprises to cyberattacks increases, which brings cybersecurity issues to the forefront.
