ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF USING THE INTERNET OF THINGS IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
The study analyzes the economic effects of using the Internet of Things in the agricultural sector and assesses its impact on the efficiency of agricultural production. The aim of the work is to identify the advantages of digital technologies, such as cost reduction, increased productivity and logistics optimization. The research used methods of statistical data analysis, surveys of managers and specialists of agricultural enterprises, as well as a comparative analysis of economic indicators of IoT implementation. The results of the study confirm that automation of resource management, soil monitoring and yield forecasting based on IoT can reduce operating costs by 18,4%, increase logistical efficiency by 22,7% and achieve digitalization growth in the agro-industrial complex by 25,9%. Additionally, it has been established that IoT technologies optimize fuel and fertilizer consumption, reduce production losses and improve product quality. The special feature of the study is a comprehensive analysis of IoT in agriculture, taking into account economic efficiency, technological transformation and government regulation. The work highlights the need for institutional support for digitalization, including subsidies and the development of national data management platforms.
