Low-frequency oscillations of hemodynamic parameters as a diagnostic measure for traumatic brain injury
Low-frequency oscillations obtained using functional near-infrared spectroscopy show promise for better monitoring of traumatic brain injury patients. This pilot study utilized a head-of-bed protocol to analyze data from 12 healthy subjects and 1 traumatic brain injury case. The analysis includes comparing hemodynamic changes, examining low-frequency spectrum of oxyhemoglobin concentrations, and quantifying the power spectral density of slow-bands.
