High power coherent PCSEL arrays

We report a novel coherent beam combining design scheme for passively coupled PCSEL arrays. Experimental results on GaAs-based arrays show high beam quality, linewidth, and coherency. Such coherent PCSEL arrays can leads to very high brightness compact semiconductor laser sources.

Abstract

We report a novel coherent beam combining design scheme for passively coupled PCSEL arrays. Experimental results on GaAs-based arrays show high beam quality, linewidth, and coherency. Such coherent PCSEL arrays can leads to very high brightness compact semiconductor laser sources.
