Modulator-free stimulated Raman scattering based on a novel fiber laser
Advanced analytical methods have enhanced sample characterization, deepening our understanding of biological structures and reactions. Spectroscopic methods, including nonlinear coherent Raman spectroscopy like stimulated Raman microscopy (SRS), are valuable for imaging molecular behavior without staining. Simplifying these techniques for mass production requires low-maintenance, robust setups. Current SRS microscopy relies on acousto-optic modulators for signal recovery, which are costly and require high-power drivers, complicating integration. We present a new laser source that enables sensitive SRS signal detection without active modulation, addressing the need for a more practical and cost-effective solution.
