Development of a tissue-mimicking target for the translation of tozuleristide
Recent progress in developing molecularly targeted fluorescence contrast agents have demonstrated improved clinical outcomes, particularly in solid tumor cancer resections. However, orchestrating the clinical translation of technologies in this field remain particularly challenging, as both the imaging device and imaging agent have distinct development life cycles. The present work demonstrates a target design suited for quality checks of deployed imaging systems, where corresponding image analysis software has been developed as a proof-of-concept for how to introduce pass-fail criteria.
