Multi-Class QoS-Aware Call Admission Control for Heterogeneous LTE Traffic

Within the area of telecommunications, one of the most significant challenges is to provide Quality of Service (QoS) in Long-Term Evolution (LTE) networks while simultaneously managing diverse traffic. Specifically designed for situations like these, this research proposes a multi-class Quality of Service (QoS)-aware Call Admission Control (CAC) model. The proposed model intends to dynamically distribute resources to various traffic classes, including voice, video, and best-effort traffic, while simultaneously satisfying the quality of service needs of each of these traffic classes. By means of simulation, we assess the performance of the CAC system with regard to the allocation of resources, the probabilities of call blocking, and the throughput. According to the findings, the CAC policy is able to efficiently priorities high-quality of service (QoS) traffic, hence reducing the likelihood of blocking and increasing the overall utility of the network. In addition to contributing to the optimization of LTE network management, our research also ensures that resources are utilized effectively and that users have positive experiences regardless of the sort of traffic they are experiencing.
