Inclusión y cultura de paz
Abstract The culture of peace is built continuously and simultaneously in all social settings; for this, it is important to identify spaces that enable an exchange of thoughts, knowledge and feelings to promote attitudes and forms of relationships, where diversity is valued as a central axis to understand the multiple realities that subjects inhabit in a social environment. From this idea it is stated that education is a fundamental piece in the development of attitudes and skills that promote a culture of peace and non-violence; within the educational area, multiple training and strengthening tools for respect for human diversity stand out, among them, critical and emancipatory reading. This essay reflects on differences and inclusion as key elements for promoting a culture of peace, through critical and emancipatory reading aimed at respect for diversity. It is possible to conclude that reading is a device that generates critical thinking to adopt empathetic positions in relation to human diversity.
