Risk factors for bronchopleural complications after pneumonectomy

The highest risk is associated with surgery for pulmonary gangrene, the lowest risk - with total resection of cancer. The incidence of delayed bronchial fistula in tuberculosis exceeds the incidence of early bronchial fistula.
