KAJIAN EFISIENSI PRODUKSI INDUSTRI BATIK KAIN DI DESA JARUM DENGAN METODE DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS (DEA)

This study aims to measure efficiency levels, analyze the factors contributing to inefficiency, and formulate strategies to enhance efficiency in the batik fabric industry in Jarum Village, Bayat District, Klaten Regency. The data used in this research consists of both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations with village officials, the chairman of the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS), and batik fabric entrepreneurs within the group. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from relevant articles, journals, and other literature sources. The analysis method employed was Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) using the Variable Return to Scale (VRS) model with an output-oriented approach, processed using DEAP software version 2.1. The results indicate that 46 percent of businesses have not yet reached optimal efficiency, primarily due to limited sales and marketing capabilities. Therefore, training in digital platform utilization is recommended as a strategic solution to enhance marketing skills and expand market reach, ultimately improving the efficiency of the batik fabric industry in the region. Keywords: efficiency; Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA); Variable Return to Scale (VRS). Kata kunci: efisiensi; Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA); Variable Return to Scale (VRS).
