Antibacterial Coating Based on Functionalized MoS2 Quantum Dots
MoS2 quantum dots (QDs) were synthesized using a one-step hydrothermal method and subsequently functionalized with 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid. The functionalized QDs were thoroughly characterized, which exhibited antibacterial activity against <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i> at 10 mg/mL. These findings underscore its potential as antifouling coatings for biomedical applications.
