Multipurpose Liquid Organic Fertilizer Made from Bamboo Shoots (Dendrocalamus Asper) with Nanotechnology Water Solvent for Sustainable Agriculture in Eggplant (Solanum Melongena) Plants

The main objective of this study was to obtain Multipurpose Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) based on local wisdom. Initial research showed that LOF based on bamboo shoots (Dendrocalamus Asper) produced by fermentation using ordinary water (surface water), labeled as REBU-N14, is very effective and environmentally friendly for rice and secondary crops. In this study, LOF based on bamboo shoots was produced through fermentation using pure water with nanotechnology as solvent. Nanotechnology water is obtained through a filtration process using the ion exchange method and the electrostatic field filtration method. The resulting water has very high purity with zero TDS because this method can filter sediment, chemicals, bacteria, microorganisms, and other contaminants in the water. The Randomized Block Design (RAK) used in this study has two main factors: ordinary water POC and nanotechnology water LOF. Each has a dose of 150 ml and three levels of dilution (10% v/v, 6% v/v, 5% v/v), with controls of ordinary water and nanotechnology water. The results of the LOF content test with ordinary water solvent showed a total N of 0.02%, a P₂O₅ content of 0.007%, and a K₂O of 0.11%. While LOF with nano-technology water solvent contained a total N of 0.02%, a P₂O₅ content of 0.005%, and a K₂O of 0.10%. The observation parameters measured in this study were the height of eggplant (Solanum melongena) plants. The results of the ANOVA test showed a significant difference in the growth of eggplant plant height in various treatments with a value of F = 6.290 and p = 0.031. The concentration of ordinary water LOF, at 6% v/v, yielded the best growth, with an average height of eggplant (Solanum melongena) plants of 17 cm. The best growth is achieved by using 10% v/v nano-technology water LOF, which resulted in an average plant height of 21 cm. This shows that using LOF based on bamboo shoots (Dendrocalamus asper) with pure water solvent with nanotechnology is more effective in increasing the growth of eggplant (Solanum melongena) plants compared to ordinary water solvents.
