The article is devoted to the study of the problems of building trust in the judiciary in Russia. The author notes a number of reasons that are triggers for the formation of distrust in the judiciary: the influence of the image of the judiciary formed in the USSR; the accepted procedure for the appointment of judges; errors in the process of official coverage of the activities of courts and judges. As a result of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to provide public information about the behavior of judges in working and non-working environments.
