Issues of Implementation of Legal Proceedings in a Remote Format

Digitalization affects all areas of activity, including legal proceedings. This article examines the essential characteristics of participation in a court hearing using video conferencing and web conferencing systems, and compares these systems. The doctrinal and practical problems arising in this area are analyzed, as well as formulated on amendments to legislation. Based on the analysis of judicial practice, the author proves the inconsistency of the voiced problem about the possibility of participating in a court session using a web conference only in the court of first instance.
