Eden: As Poet, and: Eden: As Church Coffee, and: Eden: As Madrone, and: Eden: As Smog (or) The Embered World

Abstract: While walking along the rogue river, I stopped to admire the copper-dust ripple of a madrone trunk. As I pulled out my phone to take a photo, a blue-tailed western skink slid out of the tree, as if to greet me. I knew then, I needed to write a series of poems reimagining Eden from perspectives outside the human one.
