NURSING CASE STUDY – POST TRANS CATHETER AORTIC VALVE REPLACEMENT (TAVR) CARE

The role of nursing in the post trans aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is an important aspect of aortic stenosis management. The meticulous monitoring in the pre procedure, intra procedure and post procedure is of utmost importance. The comprehensive nursing care includes patient education, safety, infection prevention, access site management, medication management, ICU care, early recognition of complications and post ICU care. This case study helps to elaborate the optimum nursing care required to manage a case of TAVR.
