Development of a Remote Alert System for Vehicle Pre-Location in Signal-Deficient Zones
This work focuses on developing a remote alert system to track and locate vehicles approaching non-coverage zones, areas with weak or absent signal strength typically found in remote locations like deserts. The system uses an Arduino microcontroller to analyze RF signal strengths detected by an RF detector, accurately vehicle proximity to these zones and triggering alerts when necessary. Communication with control system administrators is achieved using LoRaWAN and GPS technologies, providing real-time location data and status messages to maintain continuous vehicle tracking. The design’s feasibility and effectiveness were validated through simulation in Proteus module, buzzer, LoRaWAN and GPS modules, RF detector, and a smartphone interface for notifications. This system aims to enhance vehicle management in remote areas by enabling pre-emptive tracking and location updates, mitigating risks associated with non-coverage zones.
