Factors affecting the access to bus stops in Ho Chi Minh City
The development of a sustainable public transportation system is one of the focal points aimed at minimizing the negative impacts of personal vehicles on the climate. Although buses are currently the main form of public passenger transport in Ho Chi Minh City, its quality in general and its accessibility to bus stops are still poor compared to developed countries in the world. The paper presents an examination of the factors associated with the access to bus stops in Ho Chi Minh City. Based on the found factors and the experience of similar countries, some solutions and recommendations are proposed to increase the access to public transport in Ho Chi Minh City. And further studies are needed to validate and extend the results of the current study.
