Engagement of stakeholders in reverse logistics system towards circular economy in Vietnam
The development of the circular economy is continuously across numerous economic sectors. One of the key goals of the circular economy is thought to be prolonging the life of products. A reverse logistics system is one approach to accomplish that; it is the process of moving used products to locations where they can be given an extended life (remanufacturing area). Numerous stakeholders are involved in that process, and each one of them has varying degrees of influence over the reverse logistics model’s performance. The research assesses stakeholders’ engagement and determines the degree to which their engagement affects the reverse logistics model’s engagement. Additionally, the research assesses the stakeholders’ achievement and determines the degree to which their achievement affects the reverse logistics model’s achievement. A 5-point Likert scale and Analytics Hierarchy Process tool are employed, using a database collected from in-depth interviews with 35 participants from 3 different cities in Vietnam. The study’s findings indicate that the Reverse Logistic model has not been very successful in Vietnam, and proposes some recommendations based on evaluating the engagement and achievement of relevant stakeholders.
