Evaluation of vibration comfort and annoyance rate of an aircraft

Abstract Based on the measured data of the flight vibration test and the evaluation method of whole-body vibration in ISO 2631-1:1997 standard, the vibration comfort and annoyance rate of the front, middle, and rear parts of an aircraft under different flight conditions are evaluated utilizing the comprehensive weighted acceleration. The results indicate that the front part is the most comfortable, and most of the flight conditions are evaluated as not uncomfortable. This is followed by the rear part, and most of the flight conditions get a little uncomfortable and need to be better evaluated. The middle part is the worst, and most of the flight conditions get the evaluation that falls between a little uncomfortable and fairly uncomfortable or worse. The evaluation of annoyance rate indicates that the maximum probability of feeling annoyed in the front, middle, and rear parts is about 10%, 45%, and 25%, respectively.
