Por que é bom GASTAR E dói poupar? uma discussão sobre o ensino de educação financeira na ept

This article aims to complement the discussion on teaching Financial Education in secondary level Professional and Technological Education (EPTNM). The teaching model of professional and technological education (EPT) is aimed at the student's comprehensive training, their preparation for the world of work, to live in society. Financial education was explicitly included in the National Common Curricular Base for secondary education (BNCC) in 2017. The economic system adopted in Brazil is capitalist. There is money involved in everything, albeit indirectly, however research shows that there are difficulties for Brazilians in managing personal finances. Given these factors, through documentary research in course pedagogical projects (PPC) it was possible to survey the content covered on financial education and how it is approached in the classroom. The main result was the proof that this topic is taught in the second year of integrated high school with an approach more focused on financial mathematics. But does this approach help students in the decision-making process related to money?
