Research on high-precision time synchronization technology of aerospace bus based on IEEE 1588 protocol
Abstract To maintain a high degree of time consistency between each module of the electrical system of the spacecraft during the flight mission, the precision of time synchronization of the aerospace bus is very high. This paper proposes a high-precision time synchronization technology based on the full hardware implementation of the IEEE1588 protocol. In this paper, the key technologies based on full hardware implementation are proposed, including hardware timestamp technology, Phase/frequency calibration control flow, and Phase/frequency calibration module design. By building a test system with bidirectional ring topology, the synchronization effect of the design applied in the aerospace bus is verified. The test shows that the precision of clock synchronization achieved in this paper reaches ±8 ns, and the synchronization effect of each slave clock in the system is consistent. It can fully meet the demand for high synchronization precision of the aerospace bus.
