Study on fire resistance of double wall joint of fuel supply tube line for civil aircraft

Abstract An early statistical analysis of major U.S. civil aircraft accidents conducted by NASA showed that crash crashes during landing accounted for 75 percent of all fatalities. The fire caused by the fall, as well as suffocation and burning caused by high temperature caused by smoke, are fatal factors causing casualties. Therefore, how to avoid fire after an emergency landing is an important means to improve the aircraft survivability. The fuel system of civil aircraft should be studied by providing survivability protection and survivability design and reducing fuel leakage rate and leakage amount as much as possible. On this basis, the potential fuel leakage path should be analyzed to avoid the fire caused by the contact between the leaking fuel and the potential ignition source. Finally, the flame-retardant design slows down the flame propagation speed as much as possible after the fire, and gains time for the emergency evacuation of the occupants.
