Metalens-based eye tracking camera with unprecedented performance and compactness

Widespread use of metalens cameras have been hindered by lack of design flexibility of single metalens modules and limited metalens efficiency of modules containing additional metalenses. Here we present a camera module containing two metalenses for eye tracking. A camera module with unprecedented performance and compactness is demonstrated by optimized module design, optimized metalens design, and optimized manufacturing.

Abstract

Widespread use of metalens cameras have been hindered by lack of design flexibility of single metalens modules and limited metalens efficiency of modules containing additional metalenses. Here we present a camera module containing two metalenses for eye tracking. A camera module with unprecedented performance and compactness is demonstrated by optimized module design, optimized metalens design, and optimized manufacturing.
