Strategies for mesoscale imaging of complex and scattering biomedical specimens
The Mesolens offers a powerful approach to mesoscale imaging, enabling high-resolution visualization of complex, scattering biomedical specimens. Unlike traditional microscopes, which often struggle to balance resolution and field of view, the Mesolens allows for both large-scale imaging and detailed subcellular-level analysis. This makes it ideal for examining large tissues or entire organisms while preserving the ability to resolve individual cells and subcellular structures. It employs an innovative lens system with a high numerical aperture, allowing for deep tissue imaging with minimal aberration, even in scattering samples such as thick biological tissues. Key applications include imaging complex specimens such as mature colony biofilms and ultrathick sections of tissue, where the ability to see both the overall architecture and microscopic details is critical. This technology marks a significant advancement in biomedical imaging, combining high throughput with fine detail.
