Simulation of constant amplitude light refocusing through scattering media by optical phase conjugation

We employ the pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD) method to model light propagation and reconstruction through scattering media using optical phase conjugation (OPC). Instead of using precise amplitude and phase information, our study demonstrates that the field can be reconstructed by OPC with constant amplitude and precise phase information. Additionally, we analyze the reconstruction under varying scatterer number densities. Our findings indicate that the field can be efficiently reconstructed in dense media while maintaining constant amplitude and exact phase information. This research explores the feasibility of light reconstruction with limited-amplitude information.

Abstract

We employ the pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD) method to model light propagation and reconstruction through scattering media using optical phase conjugation (OPC). Instead of using precise amplitude and phase information, our study demonstrates that the field can be reconstructed by OPC with constant amplitude and precise phase information. Additionally, we analyze the reconstruction under varying scatterer number densities. Our findings indicate that the field can be efficiently reconstructed in dense media while maintaining constant amplitude and exact phase information. This research explores the feasibility of light reconstruction with limited-amplitude information.
