Impact of active alignment on long-term pointing stability of laser engine in flow cytometry
The core of a flow cytometry system is its laser engine, which is meant to deliver stable, high-quality laser light to the flow cell. Stability and longevity of the laser core are crucial, as long-term drift laser drift leads to the need in regular servicing. We developed a laser engine with active beam alignment, driven by AI algorithms, to maintain beam position stability over time. This technology actively steers the beam, compensating for potential short- and long-term drift. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of active alignment through comparative analysis of beam pointing stability with and without this feature, demonstrating reduced servicing needs and enhanced system performance.
