Differential detection SPIFI for enhanced resolution absorption and fluorescence imaging in extrusion manufacturing
SPatIal Frequency modulated Imaging (SPIFI) is a structured illumination imaging method that is a novel new optical metrology well-aligned to monitoring extrusion manufacturing processes. Differential detection SPIFI, presented here for the first time, uses detector saturation to produce stable, enhanced resolution absorption and fluorescence images in real-time to monitor the mixture of components in extrusion-based manufacturing.
