Evaluation of drug responses in acral melanoma cell lines using quantitative phase imaging

Acral melanoma often presents at advanced stages and responds poorly to standard therapies, necessitating targeted treatments. Quantitative phase imaging offers a potential method to capture underlying differences in patient samples during their response to potential therapies. Using differential phase contrast microscopy, we evaluated the effects of inhibitors on primary acral melanoma cultures by measuring the growth of cell populations in dose-response studies.

Abstract

Acral melanoma often presents at advanced stages and responds poorly to standard therapies, necessitating targeted treatments. Quantitative phase imaging offers a potential method to capture underlying differences in patient samples during their response to potential therapies. Using differential phase contrast microscopy, we evaluated the effects of inhibitors on primary acral melanoma cultures by measuring the growth of cell populations in dose-response studies.
