Preventing foot ulcers is crucial to reducing the risk of infection and amputation, with key factors including patient knowledge, foot care practices, and family support. Objetive: This study aims to examine the prevention of diabetic foot ulcers in DM patients, including patient experiences, the relationship between knowledge and foot care, and the role of family support.. Methods: A database search was conducted using Google Scholar, limited to studies published between January 2019 and December 2024, reviewing ten journals. Results: The prevention of foot ulcers in DM patients and foot care was analyzed. There is a significant relationship between patient knowledge and adherence to therapy and foot care. A significant correlation was found between patient knowledge and foot care behaviors. The main risk factors for diabetic foot ulcers include advanced age, duration of diabetes, and lack of foot care. Family support plays a crucial role in preventing diabetic foot ulcers.
