High throughput PSF-engineered microscopy

Point spread function (PSF) engineering is an optical method that enables various 3D imaging capabilities, e.g. 3D localization microscopy, and extended-depth-of-field imaging. However, existing instrumental limitations prevent it from widespread application in high-throughput microscopy. In this talk I describe our recent contributions towards overcoming some of the existing bottlenecks, in applications such as compact (in-incubator) microscopy, imaging flow-cytometry, and large field-of-view localization microscopy.

Abstract

Point spread function (PSF) engineering is an optical method that enables various 3D imaging capabilities, e.g. 3D localization microscopy, and extended-depth-of-field imaging. However, existing instrumental limitations prevent it from widespread application in high-throughput microscopy. In this talk I describe our recent contributions towards overcoming some of the existing bottlenecks, in applications such as compact (in-incubator) microscopy, imaging flow-cytometry, and large field-of-view localization microscopy.
