An omni-mesoscope imaging platform for high-content molecular characterization of cellular dynamics in drug resistance assessment
The mesoscope emerges as an important tool in biomedical research, yet its high cost and low resolution limit its widespread use. We introduce the Omni-Mesoscope, a cost-effective, high-spatial-temporal, multimodal, and multiplex mesoscopic imaging platform built from off-the-shelf components. It provides a mesoscale field of view of several millimeters and achieves a high spatial resolution of 700 nm, capturing rich sub-cellular details. Utilizing label-free quantitative phase imaging and highly multiplexed fluorescence, it monitors cell dynamics and molecular changes simultaneously, offering deep insights at an unparalleled scale. Demonstrating its utility in tracking cellular responses to chemotherapy and drug resistance, the Omni-Mesoscope democratizes advanced imaging, facilitating AI-assisted drug screening and discovery across diverse biomedical fields.
