Wireframe holography: a new method for computer-generated holography
Computer-generated holography (CGH) has long been recognized for its potential in augmented reality (AR) applications, yet it remains hindered by significant computational demands and the pervasive issue of speckle noise. Wireframe Holography offers an innovative approach, utilizing linear segments generated through astigmatic phase profiles as a substitute for traditional point foci. This method reduces computational time and mitigates speckle noise while maintaining compatibility with established point-cloud optimization techniques. By leveraging these advancements, Wireframe Holography facilitates the creation of high-quality 3D wireframe objects, making it a versatile method for AR applications. Experimental results validate its effectiveness in producing smooth, speckle-free holograms.
