Scalable platform for parallel measurement and control of individual nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond
The nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamond is a solid-state spin defect that has become a versatile tool for quantum sensing and quantum information processing. In this talk I will describe our development of a platform that enables parallel experiments with multiple optically resolved NV centers, allowing for faster measurements and greater control in comparison to typical approaches. After explaining the concept and basic capabilities of the platform, I will present results from experiments conducted in parallel with the electronic spin states of over 100 NV centers. I will further show that the high signal-to-noise ratio of the measurements enables the detection of shot-to-shot pairwise correlations between the spin states of the NV centers. I will conclude by discussing the potential applications of our platform, which may include high-throughput experiments with individual spin defects and the detection of correlations in fields associated with condensed matter systems.
