Enhancing optical clocks: strontium lattice clock with a record precision and accuracy

We present the latest evaluation of the systematic uncertainty of the JILA 1D Sr optical lattice clock, which has achieved a record-low systematic uncertainty of 8.1 × 10−19 in fractional frequency units. We discuss the strategies for reducing the uncertainties and their results.

Abstract

We present the latest evaluation of the systematic uncertainty of the JILA 1D Sr optical lattice clock, which has achieved a record-low systematic uncertainty of 8.1 × 10−19 in fractional frequency units. We discuss the strategies for reducing the uncertainties and their results.
