This study was conducted to evaluate the meat yield and heterosis of the commercial chicken line 15 (♂DT1 x ♀DM5), raised at the Animal Experimentation and Conservation Center from July 2024 to October 2024. The economic crossbreeding method involved mating DT1 roosters with DM5 hens. The experiment was designed using a completely randomized block design with one factor: 50 birds per group (50% males and 50% females). The experiment was repeated three times to determine the meat yield and heterosis of commercial chicken line 15. The results showed that chicken line 15 exhibited an attractive appearance and feather color, with a survival rate of 94.67% at 16 weeks of age. At this age, the average body weight reached 2091.87 g, with a heterosis advantage of 2.15% compared to the parental average. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) was 3.32 kg of feed per kg of weight gain, with a heterosis advantage of -2.21%. The carcass yield was 77.40%, thigh meat proportion 20.95%, breast meat proportion 16.44%, and abdominal fat proportion 1.30%. Chicken line 15 demonstrates strong potential for production development.
